Newnan Theatre's Improvisational Shows Continue To Flourish Nest NITWITS Performance Set For November 21 ,p> One of the most exciting developments in theatre during the past several years has been the shows by improvisational troupes, which have become increasingly popular as they have developed ever more interesting shows. The Coweta arts scene has been enriched by the performances of her own improv troupe, formed several years ago by the Newnan Theatre. Its full name is the Newnan Theatre Improvisational Troupe with Incredibly Talented Stooges NITWITS for short. What is most striking to the audience is that the actors do not know which ones will be called on stage and they do not know what they will be asked to do until they are called and there is no script and no stage set and usually no props. The next NITWITS peformance is scheduled for November 21 at 8:00 PM and the tickets are only $5. Here is what the newsly designed Newnan Theatre website says about NITWITS: NCTC's Improvisational Comedy Troupe is called the NITWITS. During the evening, the troupe plays a variety of games and performs a variety of skits based on a simple idea or premise. Each evening is different and unique.
