Re: LMS Lunch
How about packing your child’s lunch yourself and feeding them breakfast at home. That way you know what they are eating. Or would that not be on your list of priorities. And yes, I am a working mother.
Can drive
LMS has great intentions with the can drive. They may have made a mistake with the implementation. In the end two things are important: our kids and our community.
RE: LMS lunch
Cinamon rolls, pancakes and cocoa puffs?
What a GREAT breakfast! Maybe your child should be eating something that’s a little more healthier for him/her.
Lee Middle School
Why are there people who are upset about children contributing to the community and to those in need? Every minute of everyday is not dedicated to bookwork in the classroom. I may be old, but I do remember that about elementary school.
Teacher Union
Who told you that is if unlawful for teacher to form unions and strike? Teachers have the constitutional right to ”assemble” as for a strike, like employees at any company they risk being replaced by those who are willing to cross the line, but they may stike if they choose. A Lawyer
Elm St. Lunch
The Thanksgiving meal today was delicious. Thanks for all the hard work the cafeteria workers put into it. Go Elm St.
can-a -thon
My child’s teacher used the collected cans to teach math lessons. They got a grade for participation in the class wide lessons. Charity and education together.
Re: furloughs
Who made the decicion to furlough certain positions? Why wasn’t it across the board? I know of positions that took the 3 day furlough and the total that will be generated from them is about $400 for the year!
Thank You
My kids teacher said an anonymous stranger dropped off over 150 cans this morning and said that the can-a-thon was about giving and he wanted to give. Thank you Coweta schools for sponsoring this important event during tough times. Happy Thanksgiving eveybody!
NHS College Fair
Thank you, NHS, for yet another wonderful college fair. All of the representatives for the colleges and professions were enthusiastic, encouraging, engaging, etc. (except Clayton State University). Thanks again!
re: thanksgiving meal
Canongate’s Thanksgiving meal was great too! Such a nice opportunity to spend time with our kids and their pals.
RE: Teacher Unions
Teachers are allowed to join NEA, GAE, or AFT. All of these are unions. However, the State will not recognize union contracts or strikes. Teachers who strike will be fired for not fulfilling their personal service contracts. Lawyer, read school law. This is a right to work state.
